What to Expect

 Most children learn to read using commonly used teaching practices.  However, there are 15-20% of children who struggle with reading.  My specialty is working with young struggling readers. 

I have experience in both virtual and in-person tutoring.  You can come to me in Waconia or I can work with your child at another location.

I like to meet with children twice (sometimes more) a week.  This is a journey for your struggling reader, you should enter into this arrangement knowing it will take months and not days.

The first meeting is generally an assessment with your child.  I need to know your child's level of reading in order to provide the proper level of assistance.  I am happy to update you on your child's progress on a regular basis.
